The Luci program

The goal of Luci is to help you improve your habits in the areas of healthy eating, physical activity, and intellectual stimulation.

To do so, the program offers:

  • 18 virtual meetings over 24 weeks
  • A library of educational and practical content
  • Tools to support you in your journey

Why participate?

An estimated one million Canadians will be living with a cognitive disorder by 2030. What if we could reduce that number?

What to expect during the study

If you are eligible to participate in the study, you will be randomly assigned to one of the following two groups of participants:

  1. The first group will have immediate access to the Luci program

  2. The second group will access the program in one year
Regardless of your group, you will need to fill out questionnaires at various points: at the start of the study, then after 12, 24, and 52 weeks.

Eligibility criteria

This study is intended for people: 

  • Between 50 and 75 years of age
  • Who have not been diagnosed with a cognitive disorder
  • Who wish to adopt healthy lifestyle habits in at least one of the following domains: physical activity, healthy eating, and intellectual stimulation
  • Who have access to a tablet or computer with an internet connection
  • Who have never participated in the Luci program

The study is being conducted by Lucilab, in collaboration with a scientific committee and with the approval of the Aging-Neuroimaging Research Ethics Committee of the Centre intégré universitaire de santé et de services sociaux du Centre-Sud-de-l'Île-de-Montréal (CIUSSS-CSMTL) [integrated university health and social services centre of CSMTL].
